The Sufficient Condition is a two-piece four-track project of very limited activity from Paw Paw, Michigan. Devised in 1996 by Jak W. Conway IV and Joseph X. Burke following the collapse of Four Heaping Teaspoons, TSC continues to record whenever the opportunity for physical and geographical duality presents itself. This page serves as a permanent means to document the project for us, those who were involved at the time, and those who are interested now. Lyrics and track commentary to be posted soon. Inquiries, comments, and obituary notices can be directed to Jak and Joe. If you plan on using any of this music for various projects, please contact us to appease our own curiosity. Thanks! | Leaves Of Sufficience EP August 2004 Format: CD-R Quantity: Approx. 6 Unavailable |
Recorded in one evening in August of 2004 -- 75% of which was composed on a cell phone -- "Leaves Of Sufficience" embodies the collective hopes and dreams of generations to come. It also begs the question, "Why again did we use the cell phone to compose the songs?" 01 It Went (Straight 2 The Musizck) 02 In "(The [Place (You're [In])])" 03 The Bull Rider 04 Self-Titled Outro In Cmaj7 |
| Solid EP August 2000 Format: Cassette/CD-R Quantity: Approx. 2-4 Unavailable |
The product of a borrowed Roland synthesizer (which Jack played) and a concept to record an EP of "space songs." This marked the full transition into guitar-and-keyboard-based composition for TSC, as well as the beginning of the erratic hiatus imposed due to geographical constraints. 01 Solid 02 Cosmic Stuff 03 Lonesome Mutecs 04 Sing A Song Of Green Meadows 05 Crossbow Of Light |

A three-year project spanning the greater portion of our respective high school careers, "Project Protect" was our first and only true full-length recording. Touching on genetics, the arcane, chess, bagels, and elements of our life in Paw Paw, a lot of the lyrics were written during classes together in 10th Grade. While it never got a proper release, it got considerable attention whilst available on the original Bionic Arm site, and is available here as a symbol of TSC at the pinnacle of our laser-precise musical focus. 01 98 (Will Save Your Life) 02 Where The Cows Roam 03 Chess Quest 04 Bagel World 05 Family Reunion At Troublesome Creek 06 Medieval Love 07 Paw Paw 08 Going Wild 09 New Age Sorceror * 10 Bagel World (Remix) * 11 Timez 2 Remember 12 Chess Quest (Remix) 13 Janitor (Four Heaping Teaspoons Cover) 14 L.E.D. | Oppenheimer Jamz EP 1997 Format: Cassette Quantity: Unknown |
The unofficial successor to "It's A Shame," distributed on end user-supplied cassette. While the tracklisting elludes the collective memory, it is remembered that it included tracks from "It's A Shame" and early versions of "Project Protect" staples. The cover featured J. Robert Oppenheimer analyzing a recently utilized atomic testing site and the words "OPPENHEIMER JAMZ." |

Like a jet-ski riding hard, fast, and with great passion through the wake of an oceanliner, "It's A Shame," too, came with a roar of unbridled passion in the wake of the oceanliner of genius that was "Airway 56." Jonathan M. Bacon sat in on the recording session and is billed as "Drum Tech." despite having done nothing to further the recording (outside of inspiring the creation of "Doggie Waltz"). Written and recorded throughout one evening in the sequence presented. 01 Dragon In The Cave 02 The Amendments 03 White Sands Of Jamaica 04 Spy Vs. Spy 05 Doggie Waltz |
| Live From Airway 56 LP 1997 Format: Cassette Quantity: -1000 |
"Live From Airway 56" is a troublesome moment in the TSC backlog. Very recently, a "decision" was made -- an expansion on the previous "notion" -- that these recordings, made all in one-take, improvised, in one evening, would never see the light of day (especially now). Outside of dutiful listens for the sake of documentation, "Airway 56" has never been played on a civilian stereo, boombox, or ghetto blaster. Rolling Stone Magazine, as a result, would not go on to claim that this recording was "clearly a work of primitive genius. Raw emotion. Pleasurable listening from a duo of musical visionaries that are not afraid to record a concept album about playing live in a bowling alley. Five stars. A record heralding the arrival of two of the brightest stars in music today." 01 Hot Lovin' From Airway 56 02 Moonshine (Moondogs Cover) 03 You've Got A Really Sharp Chin! 04 Into A Different World 05 Slip-Slidin' And Collidin' 06 Sea, It's Dancing (In Q) 07 Snokeybored 08 My Sixth Pack (Stolen) 09 Death Incarnate 10 Believe In What's Not Real 11 Keep It In The Mix (Thanks Producer) 12 DD-6 1/2 13 Rocket With No Fuel |
